Interoperability

OAI-PMH Protocol

The RIIDG Journal implements the Open Access Metadata Harvesting Protocol (OAI-PMH) to facilitate interoperability with repositories, databases, and scientific information systems.

This protocol allows for the automated collection of metadata from published articles, ensuring their availability for indexing, preservation, and sharing on different digital platforms.

The base URL of the journal's OAI-PMH service is publicly available on the website, allowing metadata aggregators and collectors to access the structured information of each article in standardized formats such as Dublin Core.

This mechanism strengthens the visibility, traceability, and digital preservation of scientific content, facilitating its integration into global knowledge networks such as OpenAIRE, REDIB, DOAJ, and other interoperable academic systems.

DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

Each article published in the RIIDG Journal has a unique digital identifier (DOI), which guarantees its traceability, persistence, and interoperability in the academic digital environment.

The DOI is assigned at the time of final editorial acceptance and is incorporated both in the article header and in its metadata, allowing for automatic indexing in international databases and scientific citation platforms.

The use of DOI facilitates:

  • The immediate location of the item on the Internet.
  • Standardized and permanent citation.
  • Interoperability with academic systems (Crossref, ORCID, Scopus, etc.).
  • Linking metrics and impact indicators.

Authors can view and share the DOI link for their article directly from the journal's website, which enhances its visibility and global reach.
